Overview

Uxmal is the finest example of Puuc architectural style, featuring the distinctive oval-shaped Pyramid of the Magician and elaborate facades covered in geometric stone mosaics. The site is less crowded than Chichen Itza while arguably more beautiful, with several well-preserved structures including the Governor's Palace—considered one of Mesoamerica's finest buildings.
